A renovated kitchen can look complete on handover day, yet still be held back by a switchboard that trips when the oven, dishwasher and kettle run together. In many Sydney properties, electrical upgrades for older homes are not an optional finishing touch. They are the work that makes a renovation safer, more functional and ready for the way a household actually lives.
Homes built several decades ago were not designed for induction cooktops, ducted air conditioning, electric vehicle charging, home offices and multiple high-demand appliances operating at once. Updating the visible rooms without reviewing the electrical infrastructure can create avoidable disruption later.
