• If you purchase a home that has been substantially renovated by the seller, the purchase price must not exceed $600,000, given that the extensive renovation conditions are met.

Who qualifies?

To be eligible, you’ll need to meet all of the following:

• Each applicant must be at least 18 years old.

• You must be a first home buyer as a person (not a company or trust).

• At least one applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

• You and your spouse/partner must not have owned a home in Australia before 1 July 2000, or have owned property where you lived in it for 6 continuous months or more after that date.

• Within 12 months of settlement or completion of construction, you must occupy the property as your principal place of residence for a defined minimum period (for contracts signed on or after 1 July 2023 the minimum is 12 continuous months).
